As like Vijay, Surya also celebrated pongal with villagers. Surya went to his father Sivakumar’s village in Sullur near Coimbatore and celebrated pongal there.
Surya went to Paramasivan temple where he was honoured with Parivattam. He aslo made traditional pongal with ladies of the village and danced with them.
Then he took a tractor and made few rounds around the village. This pongal trip will be telecasted in Vijay TV titled as ‘Annanukku Jai’ for pongal special programmes.


Surya in Ram Gopal Verma’s next film

Famous director Ram Gopal Verma is going to direct a Tamil movie in later off this year with Surya and Jyothika as lead.
Jyothika herself going to produce the film under her new banner. Surces in Kollywood says that Illayaraja will going to scores music for the film.
Almost after twenty years Illayaraja and Verma pairing up again for this film. Ram Gopal Verma has now completed a Telugu movie with Ravi Teja and Jyothika as lead.


Finally Jyotika opened her mouth about her marriage with surya

Surya is now growing rapidly in kollywood industry by giving massive hits consequently. His next project is ‘Jillendru Oru Kadhal’, in this film he once again paired up with Jyotika.
Surya was the first hero who paired up with Jyotika in ‘Poovellam Kettupar’. Now this is the 7th time he is pairing up with Jo in ‘Jillendru Oru Kadhal’.
Sources in kollywood said that they both are loving each other.Finally Jyotika opened her mouth in an interview to eNADU (Telugu Magazine) and accepts her marriage with Surya.
She also said that now she and Surya is busy with some new projects and their marriage will be done only with the acceptance of their parents and after proper announcement to all of her fans.


Surya’s active participation in flood relief

Surya also now started invovling in social activities as like Rajinikanth, Vijayakanth, Kamalahasan, Vijay, Vikram.
Due to unexpectable rains and floods in Tamilnadu many part of our state are destroyed and many people lost their lives and houses. Actor Surya came forward to help those people who affected by floods.
Surya handed over a sum of 5 lakhs for flood relief to Cheif minister Jayalalitha. He also asks his fan clubs to work for flood relief. Well Done Surya!.


‘Aaru’ releasing on Dec 9th with ‘A’ certificate

Surya’s next release is ‘Aaru’, Directed by Hari and Produced by Director Charan. The film was planed to released on December 2, but due to some issues with the Censor Board, the release has been postponed to December 9.
The Board gave an ‘A’ certificate to the film because of excessive violence. The producer and director decided to cut down some violence scenes and request for ‘U/A’ certification.
But the Board was not satisfied and hence the film will release with ‘A’ certificate.


Surya growing rapidly in Tollywood industry also

After Ghajini, Surya’s next release is ‘Aaru’. He has paired up with Trisha in this film. The audio of ‘Aaru’ (Telugu version), was officially released on 3rd December, 2005 at State Art Gallery, Madhapur, Hyderabad.
Suriya released the audio cassette and producer Gemini Kiran received the first copy. Also present on the occasion were Raju Harwani (of Supreme Music), lyricist Chandrabose, music director Devi Sri Prasad and writer Shashank Vennelakanti.
Earlier Gemini TV organised a contest by the name of Hero Surya Huting For Six Beatiful Girls to choose six winners. The music was released in the presence of the winners who were specially invited. Shilpa Chakravarthi anchored the event. Supreme Music has acquired the music rights of the film.

Bhoomika in Surya’s next movie ‘Jillendru Oru Kaadhal’

Surya’s next movie after ‘Aaru’ is ‘Jillendru Oru Kaadhal’. In this film, Surya once again paired up with Jyothika after ‘Maayavi’. This film will be based on two heroines subject.
Bhoomika is going to play one of the heroine role in this film, who already acted in Badri and Rojakootam in Tamil and also acted in several Telugu movies.
Af first, ‘Jillendru Oru Kaadhal’ team was planned to catch up Asin to do this role but Asin refused this offer. Asin says the character was weak and unimpressive. Now Bhoomika going to play this role.
